A severe flood in May 1979 in Mesr and Farahzad villages led to the formation of a pond and emergence of special vegetation in the central desert of Iran.
Many guests of the Brandaz Lodge are quite familiar with the Mesr Desert, especially the safari tour into the heart of the sand and 'Takht-e-Aroos' (Bride Throne) sand hill.
‘Bayazeh’ is an ancient village located 130 kilometers from our village, Farahzad. There is a castle in Bayazeh called ‘Orange Castle’, which dates back to the Sassanid era (224-651) but it is not clear when exactly it was constructed.
Most visitors do not believe they can see a cold spring and green trees in the heart of the desert.
